In 1996 under his first name NEUROSIS, would form what we call mortuum after entering in 1997 vocalist Cosme Yepez. 
By late 1997, they recorded their highly anticipated first demo under the title "Dominus Joshep". This production exceeded sales expectations, leaving out a print run of 300 copies in just two months. The support given to this production allows them to play in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Quito, Cotacachi, sharing the stage with the most important bands in the country, was also the support band for two international concerts: MASACRE (Colombia) and Estigma (Peru), undoubtedly the favorable reviews and live the catapult force to be considered in the second production ECUADOR UNDERGROUND,
