LURKING FEAR are an Italian Metal trio born in 2011, when MIRKO "COSCIA" PANCRAZZI (guitar/vocals) and FABIANO FABBRUCCI (bass/lead vocals) are joined by STEFANO PIZZICHI (drums).
The songs composed by the band refer to 70s Heavy Metal and NWOBHM from the early 80s, while the lyrics are about horror literature classics of the early 1900s and generally everything macabre and grotesque. 
The band takes its name from The Lurking Fear, a horror fiction short story by H. P. Lovecraft written in 1922.
