Desert Near the End - A Crimson Dawn

 The band was originally formed back in 1997 under various names but took it’s present form in 2001 when the line-up was dissolved through musical differences. The two remaining members Akis Prasinikas (bass guitar) and Alexandros Papandreou (vocals) decided to keep the band alive and under the name “The Eventide” they have released two demos: “A memory of men part 1” (2004), “A memory of men part 2” (2006) and one album “Eventide” (2007). In 2010 they decided to lay their former name and music to rest and to continue their journey under the name Desert near the end. Their first album “A crimson dawn” was completed in 2011. A concept album and the first part of a trilogy about the journey of a man and his hunt for truth. His path will lead him from the ashes of his old life by the sea to the heart of the sun and from a passage of time to war and to the end of the world.
