PAOLO
ORECCHIA - Seven O 'Clock
ROCK
AND ROLL / COUNTRY ROCK / SOFT FOLK ROCK
FROM ITALY
Paolo Orecchia is considered a classical soloist who makes music oriented to country, blues and psychedelic sound. Placing importance to sung songs, it expresses feelings and sensations better in an instrumental way to make music open and free. He also considers himself a promoter of non-stereotyped music. This album in particular has an excellent beginning going through the sounds of classic rock and roll, Country and Blues, however it is from the song “Drop city” that an abrupt change is noticeable where the “light ambient” sound predominates ”And other sounds closer to folk guitar arpeggios (listen to“ My old Guitar ”), you repeatedly notice the use of some effects included with keyboards (listen to“ just a life ”). Finally you can highlight the powerful sound, leaving enough of the trend that follows the album, in the song "Suddenly i saw you" whose form of composition is very close to the psychedelic rock of the late 60s with excellent solos that under its effect shudder who listens. After this song the album returns to the soft trend, so it loses strength except for the penultimate track “Little Italy in Jazz” that implements the Jazz genre in a very interesting way and has an adventurous atmosphere. The track "forever or nothing" has some good bases of Country but unfortunately in the first part of the song is overshadowed by the soft sounds of the piano, however it manages to improve at the end. In general, this album is full of positive sensations achieving excellent instrumentation that makes traveling and serves to generate different moods, from joy, sadness and relaxation.
