ARCTIC DREAMS - And The Agony Has Started

the entrance to this album with the song "let me introduce in cosmic hell" is peculiar due to its symphonic character and in a short time electronic and industrial metal elements are slightly introduced, a preponderance is noted in a galloping riff that tends more to the No metal. "Requiem for my war" has some elegant and interesting symphonic elements, starting with the orchestral percussion entry that mixes with post hardcore punk and a voice that looks like a vomit, that is to say a Nu/Folk Metal. "the way to infinity" contains a powerful and galloping riff that accompanies the electronic music environment, some interesting melody changes involving soft vocals, guttural voices and speeches, all with a remarkable digital sound effect. "the city built in bones" is perhaps the song that contains the most marked elements of electronic music, the percussion is simple and strong, as well as variable, as are the songs and voices (this song contains an interesting final synthesizer riff) . "the arctic dreams" has a sophisticated beginning due to the use of a synthesizer, it also has guttural voices in all its variants and a good instrumental performance. "The Waltz of Chernobyl" includes the sound of an oriental bell in the middle of an epic entrance, convincing in introducing a hostile environment, later this becomes more prominent as galloping electric guitars are introduced. "the agony has started" introduces an approach to black metal with its riffs that gradually transform into artificial sound structures more typical of industrial Metal, interspersed between both styles, there is even a strange moment in the middle of the song where there are songs with vocals digitally modified and with a saturation in the background sound. "Join to space" begins with a background sound that alludes to a science fiction environment related to space mystery, there is a musical moment that introduces a keyboard-piano and reveals a soft alternative rock aspect. "game over" has a small approach to progressive metal judging by the first percussion, there are quite interesting moments of suspense. Finally "wellcome to the city 17" has continuous and variable percussion as its main component, as well as the galloping riff characteristic of many songs.

Based on the above, this musical work handles the aspects of musical composition very well, achieves harmony between instruments and voices according to the moment of the song and has ingenious moments that induce attention, in addition there is coherence between the changes together with a creativity in the rhythms of these, the songs could perfectly be equated to sophisticated works given the great variety and little monotony of the songs, on the other hand, although the instrumentation predominates with electroic sounds, a good execution of the electric guitar can be appreciated and of the percussions, tending towards post hardcore punk and with a structure suggesting that it has elements of various styles of metal, such as the songs "game over" and "the agony has started" that are familiar with progressive Metal and Black Metal respectively, the gutturals are close to Nu Metal and those of industrial Metal, which despite having special sound effects, retain a well-marked technique. In general, this album knows how to couple the epic sounds of symphonic metal with industrial metal very well, definitely a mix that is not heard every day. As for the cover, it reflects a war scenario where a building or fortress is invaded by thrown elements, all in a range of colors that tend to red, alluding to the fire caused by the war, it is a good illustration according to the content and the sound of the album. Finally, the musical production is very good in terms of sound quality and instrumentation.

SCHERMANN - Black

in this musical production hard rock predominates despite the fact that its opening song sounds like some kind of alternative rock/pop, it is advisable not to judge this album according to the first song. "Haunt the dead" (where a cough is heard surely by mistake) marks the true beginning with a simple riff and perhaps this is the flag that carries the entire album, that is, melodies with distinguishable riffs and an easy drum rhythm. identify, where in addition, the singing is usually calm but with a fresh personality, in the same style is the following song "dustcrawler" which introduces a heavier first riff and a more complete melody with several moments, making this album entertaining without fall into monotony Unfortunately "New IP" is an unexpected turn that does not contribute to the album if it corresponds to the previous songs, although you can rescue the solos and the melody in the middle of that annoying riff with what seems like a digital instrument. Later "enforcer of karma" is shown as a sophisticated song by coupling an unusual percussion in rock, in this case some drums in the middle of a soft melody and a harmonic synchrony between voice and guitar sound, then "when the night falls" returns with the hard rock sound achieved thanks to the riff, although this song has a great resemblance to "haunt the dead" despite the fact that it has a different riff, different melody and a longer percussion base, often we hear "black fire" that is I could say that it is the song that stands up for Heavy Metal, although it goes without saying that the form of the song ruins the song, a voice without power or strength is noticeable, which is inconsistent with the powerful riff that is heard, we will move on later to "massive weather manipulation" that retains a lot of traditional heavy metal and perhaps eighties glam rock/metal but is still weak with respect to singing, in this case it sounds with an effect typical of alternative rock/pop that does not match the potential of the riff nor the melody, the penultimate song "tonight" is a subdued cut on the album whose second half introduces drum and drum percussion simultaneously while the electric guitar gradually plays. Finally the song "demon's gate" contains a bit of all the qualities from the previous songs, the softness, simple percussion, riffs and a relaxed song but with personality, although it lacks strength.

The album cover is the silhouette of a stain, perhaps suggesting a splash of blood, it is quite simple and its message is uncertain. The musical production is quite good in terms of sound, there is quality, but the cough of the second song detracts from the credibility of the entire album. Despite the fact that the voice has some qualities, I would recommend this album more for the harmony and melody of the songs that allow an understanding of their structure, ideal for appreciating the musical genres of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.

ПРЕПОДОБНЫЙ - За здравие усопших

The album translates "For the health of the dead" - and the name of the musical project is: reverend

This album is an interesting form of rock/meal where in terms of sound the volume of the voice predominates, it has some excellent convincing riffs even though the way of singing is so peculiar, not knowing if the reasons for the overacted (and funny) voice are the accent from the Russian region where the music originates or a dramatic personalization, it is quite curious that hard rock is mixed with this song, it is noteworthy that this song has a quality that sometimes becomes light and relaxed, particularly on the track 3 the latter can be better perceived. The way of singing and the voice give the impression that he has everything under control, even in those songs in which his distorted guitar sound suggests an exaltation accompanied by singing, a soft voice is felt and still has sound and musical coherence.

instrumentally it is an excellent composition, it contains distorted guitars, interesting synthesizer effects, piano-like keyboard, clean electric guitar and percussion. The sound varies between soft rock, indie rock, post hardcore, hard rock, ska, surf (track 7) and eventually heavy metal (track 9). all accompanied by melodious and soft synth notes that give an unexpected but pleasant turn to the beginning of the music. By the way, track 7 has such a peculiar character that even the chorus has the low and relaxed voices synchronized, giving a unique effect similar to guttural, but relaxed.

The cover looks like a digital art, it shows a landscape of dark trees and behind some anthropomorphic forms that suggest the shape of beings from another world, possibly dead beings.

BEROOL - Cute Apocalypse

This work corresponds only to a production by the BEROOL production company dedicated to making FREE ROYALITY sounds and music, this time they experimented with this fusion of sounds that involves Japanese pop, electronics, Heavy Metal and Metalcore, its initial structure is modern heavy metal that on several occasions becomes metalcore and that when mixed with electronic music is quite similar to industrial metal, however the prevalence of clean and sharp voices of Japanese women make this a fusion of an experimental nature and does not transcend in avant-garde, plus the inclusion of occasional gutturals and dialogue in the midst of moments of percussive predominance, make this mix fun and laughable. Despite this appreciation, it must be said that there are groups that stand out for making the fusion between Metal and J-pop with all the demands that it requires at an instrumental and production level, we are talking about bands like LADYBABY and BABYMETAL (the latter made a collaboration with Rob Halford from Judas Priest)
