JUAN GUALDA PROJECT (TITO JUAN) – Salvaje

1.       JUAN GUALDA PROJECT  (TITO JUAN) – Salvaje
rE   REVIEW UPDATED (05-03-2023)

Heavy metal / Hard Rock  From Spain

band info

This solo project, although it does not have the best sound quality result, has a great fluency in instrumentation to respond as an interesting musical structure, excellent guitar riffs, electric bass and percussions, however rare sounds are perceived that seem that come from an effect on the electric bass or drums, in short this album reminds us of an era of Heavy Metal of the 80s when Spanish-speaking underground bands still emerged, is a good reference for those who have heard great bands in cassette format and LP that were generally not well known but their music was spectacular.

This album has a very well elaborated Heavy Metal melody, it preserves elements of rock and also of melodic Death Metal, on certain occasions it reminds us of Gothic Metal because it has dense elements that derive from Doom Metal but that are embellished by synthesizers and some elements of European Folk Metal. In singing, he has an acceptable handling of the melody and the agreement with the sound, in vocal technique (in Heavy and Death Metal style) he needs to improve, however, without a doubt, he has very good musical structures that give him the Heavy stamp. Metal. The song "Almas Condenadas" has synthesizer elements, "Tierra de Mares" tends to soft rock, "Los angeles vuelve al infierno" has an excellent traditional Heavy Metal rhythm, "El Diablo Llama A Tu Puerta" has a Speed/Thrash base Fairly marked metal. Finally The song "Daydreaming" is especially reminiscent of the Aryan band from Russia with the album Megalomania. Last but not least we must talk about the cover, you can tell that it is a way of paying tribute to Angus Young from AC/DC
